OpenMSC Release Candidate 0.3 Available

Version 0.3 of OpenMSC marks a release candidate aiming at visualising the stream sent by the emulator. The Gnuplot-based library allows the user to set the window size and the update interval and plots PatternIDs and NoiseIDs as a function of time with orange '' and blue '×', respectively. An example plot is shown below.

Furthermore, two major bugs have been fixed, as reported in the OpenMSC wiki (Issue #2 and #3). The new version can be directly fetched from the SVN using the tag 0.3.

Google+ Community 'OpenMSC'

I am glad to announce that user support is now available via the Google+ community OpenMSC. After browsing the web for alternatives how to provide some basic support, communication channels such as IRC chats or mailing-lists were considered but not as "modern" and "mobile" as I wanted ... and hey ... it is 2014!!!

OpenMSC Release Candidate 0.2 Available

One month after releasing a beta version for Release Candidate 0.2, OpenMSC received the stable Release Tag 0.2. The code can be downloaded via SVN Tag 0.2.

OpenMSC Beta Version for Release Candidate 0.2 Available

After a one month testing phase, OpenMSC has received various bug fixes and a re-implementation of how OpenMSC determines the starting time of each UE.

Alpha Version of OpenMSC Released

I am delighted to announce that an alpha version of the OpenMSC emulator is available on Google Code licensed under GPLv3.
